​WHAT ARE THESE LITTLE GEMS? 

Often referred to as colour flakes, vinyl colour chips or epoxy paint chips – these little gems of colour can help create a beautiful custom garage floor.

What they are – they are actually polymer paint aggregates made up of a combination of acrylic and vinyl resins.

The sharp of the flake is random and available in a variety of sized, but ¼” is the size used for garage floors, steps and landings.

Colours are blended to create a custom look then applied – different companies have very different ideas of what is best for application. At Wright Choice Epoxy, we always apply a full broadcast, known in the industry as Full Refusal – meaning until the entire floor is covered and no more will stick to the base coat. This is the best practice- it adds a minimum of 5 mils of thickness to your slab - the colour flakes are flexible and strong thereby improving both durability and impact resistance.
